Character Announcement!
The moment I’ve been waiting for happened- I figured out a critical point of my book! It’s an exciting moment for me (hopefully for my readers as well) and one that makes me feel like this next novel is coming together… a huge relief for any creative project. To celebrate I thought I’d give you all a treat this week… I’m going to reveal who my next main characters are!
Anyone have any guesses as to who it could be? If you’ve read my Arathian series you probably have an educated guess.
Here are some clues:
-He’s a man…
-He’s blue…which means he’s Sirilian
-We met him in Adrift… actually he was a major supporting character
-He works with Karo…
I know you know who I’m taking about- My next leading male character is Reus!
I’m excited for you all to get to know him better! As I was writing Adrift, I found that I fell in love with his character. He’s the antithesis of Karo: fun loving, unpredictable, and promiscuous. I knew immediately once I began writing him that I wanted to make him my new hero, but making that happen has taken this book in a different direction than Adrift. I see that as a good thing! I love Adrift, but I also don’t need to stick to a “formula” for my books. Reus’s story is unique, just like the man himself. 🙂
Now… his female. Her name is Ashlyn MacLeod and she hails from Scotland. Just in case you need clarification: yes, I mean Scotland of Earth. (I told you guys that I’m bringing this book back to our planet!) She is rational, calm, practical, and throws Reus for a loop like any good woman does!
You might be asking yourself- how do I hide a blue alien on our planet? You’ll have to read the book to find out!
